The word Rahmah means mercy in Arabic, and it beautifully reflects the energy I strive to bring into every birth space: gentle, nurturing, and rooted in love.
The inspiration behind the name goes even deeper. The Arabic root of Rahmah is rahm — which means womb in Arabic, Farsi (Dari), and Pashto. This connection between mercy and the womb is no coincidence; it reflects the divine wisdom in how we were created and how we bring life into this world. Birth is not just physical — it's emotional, spiritual, and deeply ancestral. Rahm is the space where new life begins, and I honor it as sacred.
Rahmah is also one of the attributes and names of Allah — Ar-Rahman, The Most Merciful.
Choosing this name was an intentional way to weave faith into my work. I hope to center and align my work in divine mercy, with grace, and compassion.
